The Cyber Readiness of U.S. Government Organizations

An August 2013 study by Ponemon Institute and sponsored by Carahsoft, HP and Symantec, revealed that nearly half (49%) of respondents foresee that a cyber attack in the next year would make it impossible to deliver services to taxpayers.

The research, conducted from July to August 2013, aimed to reveal the current state of cybersecurity attacks as well as the practices of high-performing organizations for cyber defense. The study provides insight and guidance to other government organizations on how to improve cybersecurity effectiveness.
